Tips for Using an AED

If you're ever faced with someone who is having a heart attack, the best thing to do is call 911 and get to a hospital as quickly as possible. However, if you're in the middle of an emergency and someone has a heart attack, there are some things you can do to help them and keep them alive.

One of the most important things you can do is use an AED (automated external defibrillator). An AED is a small, battery-operated device that can save someone's life by delivering an electric shock to their chest or neck, which can restart their heart.

To use an AED, simply follow these steps:

1. Get close to the person who has had a heart attack.

2. Make sure that they are not breathing, and if they are, give them CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

3. Push down on the Person's Chest with One Hand while Keeping Your Other Hand Close to Their Neck in Case of Shock.

4. If an AED box appears on the Screen, Shoot the Red Button Immediately.

5. If an AED Box Does Not Appear on the Screen, Give CPR.
