Campsis x tagliabuana

Campsis x tagliabuana is a cross between Campsis radicans and Campsis grandiflora. It thus has some features of its 2 parents.
This hybrid, like its parents, is well-adapted to temperate climates of USDA zones 7-9. It can be tried in most sheltered places of USDA zone 6.
There are several selections, among which 'Mme Galen' with orange-red flowers, and 'Indian Summer'® which has orange flowers and red throats.

Leaves are decidious, 8-12 in (20-30 cm) long, serrated, green to dark-green, pinnate, with 7-9 lanceolate and oval leaflets.
Flowers appear in summer. They are trumpet shaped, orange-red or red and grouped in terminal clusters of 6-12 flowers.
Fruits are sterile flattened pods that contain numerous winged seeds.
