Bauhinia yunnanensis

Bauhinia yunnanensis is also sometimes known as Bauhinia saļgonensis is an ornamental vine which is native to Yunnan in southwest China. It has strange bi-lobed leaves and orchid-shaped pink flowers.
Bauhinia yunnanensis is one of the easiest vines to grow in the genus Bauhinia. Moreover, it can withstand occasional frosts, down to about 27°F (-3°C). It can thus be grown in USDA zones 9b and warmer.
 
This vine has small bilobed evergreen to semi-decidious leaves, which are red-green when young, and which turn green when older.
Bauhinia yunnanensis blooms in the summer. Flowers are pink with red traces, and look like orchid flowers. They are grouped in clusters.
Fruits are pods, which are about 4 in (10 cm) long.

This vine needs an acidic and well-drained ground, and needs to be regularly watered in summer. However, it can withstand occasional droughts.
