Description

General aspect and origins - Hibiscus splendens is also known as pink hibiscus or pink hollyhock tree. It is native to East Australia. Culture

This Australian native hibiscus is less famous than Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. However, both evergreen leaves and flowers are ornamental. It is not very frost hardy, but can withstand brief frosts, down to about 26°F (-3.5°C).
Soil - This shrub is drought tolerant. It requires a fertile and well-drained ground.
