Description

General aspect and origins - Jasminum beesianum is also known as Beesianum jasmine or pink jasmine. This vine, which can be up to 15 ft (4.5 m) long, is native to Southwestern China. Its foliage is evergreen to semi-decidious, depending on the climate. Flowers, which are fairly fragrant, are pink or pink-red.
Leaves - The pink jasmine has an evergreen or semi-decidious foliage, depending on the climate. In zones with colder winters, this vine will even be decidious.
Flowers - This jasmine is not powerfully scented, but is slightly fragrant, though. Flowers can be pink or pink-red.
Fruits - The fruits are small non-edible and globose berries.

Culture

This jasmine species is fairly cold-hardy, as it will withstand negative temperatures down to about 10°F (-12°C)
Soil - Like other jasmines, the pink jasmine prefers a well-drained ground.

Propagation

This jasmine can be propagated by seeds, cuttings or air layers.
