Protea burchelli
Burchell's sugarbush
 
Protea burchelli, also known as Burchell's Sugarbush, is a shrub that is native to South Africa, which can reach up to 10 ft (3 m) tall.
This Protea hardiness is not precisely known. For the moment, it is thus best to grow it in USDA zones 9b and warmer, before further tests are performed.
 
Burchell's sugarbush has spoon-bract type flowers. Bracts are light pink, with black tips.

Burchell's sugarbush is naturally found in various grounds in South Africa. This shrub is said to prefer fairly fertile grounds.
