Acacia pravissima (the Mimosaceae familly)

Description

General aspect and origins - Acacia pravissima is also known as Ovens wattle or wedge-leaf wattle. It is a small tree that is native to Australia. It is up to 25 ft (about 8 m) tall. One notable feature of this Acacia is the pendulous aspect of the branches, and the foliage which is made of triangular phyllodes.
Leaves - Ovens wattle has an evergreen foliage, which is made of small triangular phyllodes.
Flowers - Small yellow globular flowers of Ovens wattle are fragrant, and are grouped into 4 in (10 cm) inflorescences.

Culture

This showy tree is relatively frost hardy, and will withstand brief frosts of 15°F (-9°C). It can this be grown in USDA zones 9 and warmer, and may be tried in USDA zone 8b.
Soil - This Acacia requires a well-drained ground, and can withstand occasional droughts.

Propagation

Ovens wattle is generally propagated by seeds.
