Syzygium malaccense

Syzygium malaccense, also known as Malay apple, mountain apple or Malaysian apple, is a tropical tree which is native to Malaysia. It can reach up to 60 ft (20 m) tall. It bears red showy flowers, and edible fruits.
Malay apple is a true tropical tree that won't survive frosts. It can thus be grown in USDA zones 10b and warmer.
 
Malay apple has evergreen opposite leaves, which are dark green.
This tree has red showy flowers, with prominent stamens. The flowers appear on the branches, but as well directly on the trunk.
the mountain apple, or Malay apple, is a tropical fruit with a dark red skin and a white flesh. The fruit is oblong to pear-shaped, and is generally eaten raw.
