Description

General aspect and origins - Jasminum officinale, also known as common jasmin, common jessamine, true jasmine or poet's jasmine, is a shrubby decidious vine that is native to China. Its flowers are very fragrant.
Leaves - Common jasmine foliage is decidious. Leaves are opposite and pinnate; leaflets are ovate and acuminated.
Flowers - Flowers of common jasmine are white, and are very fragrant.

Common jasmine will withstand negative temperatures of 10°F to 5°F. (-12°C to -15°C)
Soil - This jasmine required a well-drained ground.

Propagation

This jasmine can be propagated by seeds, by cuttings or by air-layering.
