Flacourtia jangomas

Flacourtia jangomas is also known as coffee plum, Indian plum or Indian cherry. This is an evergreen tropical tree that is native to southeastern Asia. It can reach up to about 33 ft (10 m) tall.
Flacourtia jangomas can endure brief drops in temperature to 25° F (-4°C). It thus can be grown in USDA zones 9b and warmer, and may be tried in most sheltered places in USDA zones 9a.
 
Coffee plum has evergreen glossy leaves.
This tree has fragrant flowers.
Coffee plum is a rounded red to dark purple fruit, that is about an inch (2.5 cm) wide. It is edible, and is relatively juicy. It can be eaten raw, or transformed into juice or marmalades.
