Cordyline australis
cabbage tree, cabbage palm
 
Cordyline australis is also known as Dracaena australis, cabbage tree, or cabbage palm. (even if it's not a palm) It is an exotic looking plant with evergreen lanceolate foliage that is native to New-Zealand. Fragrant tiny white flowers are followed by small white-blue fruits. When older, the trunks will divide, and the plant will reach up to 30 ft (10 m) tall.
The cabbage tree is a showy and exotic looking plant that is relatively frost-hardy. It will withstand negative temperature of about 22°F to 18°F (-6°C to -8°C) and even lower for very brief periods.
 
The cabbage tree has an evergreen lanceolate foliage. Leaves can reach up to 3 ft (1 m) long.
Flowers are white and are sweetly fragrant . They appear in late spring and are grouped in panicles.
