Citrus mitis, or sometimes Citrus madurensis, is also widely known as calamondin, or miniature orange. As It makes a good potted plant, it is often seen indoors or under glass. But the calamondin is a small evergreen tree that can reach more that 15 ft in height. Like most Citrus, the white flowers are strongly perfumed. The little orange fruits are very sour.
The calamondin is a very ornemental little Citrus. It will withstand very moderate negative temperature, such as 30°F to 24°F (-1°C to -5°C). It can be grown outside in USDA zones 9b and warmer.

The calamondin has an evergreen foliage. The leaves are small, dark-green, with a rounded tip.
Flowers of the calamondin are strongly and pleasantly perfumed.
