Hi all
bit of an exotics novice here  & I wondered if I can divide my Trachy Fortunei which is a double trunked variety? :-?

The trunks are a few inches apart and the plant is only a few years old.

I've divided cordylines before this way, but not sure if I can with these plants.

My reason for doing it is that I think single stemmed plants look much more iconic / structural.
I'd get 2 plants for the price of 1
& finally, I think they would both benefit from the extra space for roots / leaves.

Many thanks,
Roger
