I am new to the culture of indoor citrus plants. I have a Meyer lemon tree that is in a 6" pot. I have had it for about 5 months and it has already bloomed. As the blooms faded, I saw several lemons beginning to form. When the weather became warm enough, ( I live in zone 5 ) I placed the plant outdoors in a sunny location. As the lemons began to grow, all of them but 3 fell off. Now, I see that only one lemon is continuing to grow and the other 2 are just yellowing on the stem and not growing. Is this a natural progression of its development? Can this young and small "tree" only support one lemon at this age and for its first fruit production?

Hi
All my citrus do the same , even if they are planted on the ground outside , they produce more flowers than fruit , and it is normal to get blossom drop , or undeveloped fruit drop , I would re-pot to as big a pot as you can handle , and it might take a couple of years before yo can expect fruit , it is hard for a plant to produce in a 6'' pot . but grafted citrus will surprise you.
