Hi
I've always considered wattles (Acacia species) as a pure zone 9+ tree. However, having discovered that the genus contains hundreds of species, I just wonder if some species could survive my 10°F winters ? Any suggestion welcome, even if it means some strong protection for the wattle.

Hi Bluegum,
Wattles for 10°F winters ? Well, I doubt it, too.
There are good species for 20°F/zone 9 zones, and maybe a very few that could occasionaly whistand 15°F-18°F. However, 10°F just seems too low, to the best of my knowledge.
If I'm wrong though, I'd be pleased to learn more about the miracle wattle :-P
