Hi All, Second posting now. Wonder if anyone can help with a problem with Fatsia Japonicas. Everytime I plant one the young leaves seem to distort and some of the larger leaves go brown and die. I am then left with a spindly looking thing :-(

Not sure of your climate or your location but my experience has been that these plants love the shade.

The label that came with mine said "grow in part sun to shade".

Well I gave it part sun and the leaves burned. I moved it to a less sunny spot and the leaves still burned. It was getting less than 2 hours of sun/day and still burning. Hmm...

I now have it in full shade and it seems happy and has new growth.

Also don't overwater. :-)

That's spot on sunset!!!

A nice shady spot, moist but not too wet and you get great growth with nice very dark green leaves. :-D
