Hello Greg, welcome
I think you have a wide choice in climates where winter temperatures do not drop bellow 20°F too often. There are numerous genus and species, but you could start with (to name a few) :
- Rhapidophyllum hystrix, the needle palm - Nannorrhops ritchieana, the Mazari palm
- also, as you mentioned, Trachycarpus, but not only Trachycarpus fortunei (Chusan palm), but also Trachycarpus wagnerianus, with more rounded leaves, Trachycarpus takil, as frost hardy as the two former...
You can also have a look at - Butia (Butia capitata, Butia yatay, ...) - Brahea (Brahea edulis, Brahea armata with blue leaves) - Sabal - Trithrinax campestris - and many more!
