Hi
I'm looking for vines that can do well in shady areas.
Other constraint : winters temps can drop to about 24°F-28°F.
Many thanks for any suggestion (flowering and evergreen vines will be a big plus)

Hello,

As you seem to have mild winters, you have a large choice. However, it may depend on how shady your shady areas are :eyebrow:
If the exposition is half-shade, then you may try Trachelospermum jasminoides aka Confederate Jasmine. I love this evergreen vine. Jasmine scented white flowers, and nice glossy dark green leaves.
Hope it helps, Kacey.

Hardyclimber,

Maybe you should have a look at Akebia quinata, which is a vigourous vine, with interesting foliage & fragrant flowers, and does well in semi-shaded to shaded areas, so have I heard.

Hi. If your'e into big leaves, abundant growth, white scented flowers and exotic looks,I reccomend Clematis Armandii. I planted this in my garden in the U.K. 2 years ago, and it's fantastic, evergreen too, despite winter lows of -5/-6.c. Hope this helps Nij.
