 Hello All,

Here is the last tree that I collected this year, label said that it was a type of Diospyros, have searched Google high and low for the last three days and nothing found.

Was told that the tree was begun in the South of France, and that it may be from Thailand.

Can anyone please help me identify this tree?

Season’s greetings and regards,
Nigel

 Hello Kangaroo,

Sorry, I can't see the picture.
Maybe you can add a few comments, what is the size and color of the fruit?
is it a species (E.g. Diospyros kaki, Diospyros lotus, Diospyros virginiana, ...) or a variety of D. kaki that you are inquiring?
Best regards and happy new year.

 Hello Etto,

Sorry about that, hope that this URL will open the piture for you:

There are over 450 forms of the Diospyros familly, many of them extremely rare, and this be one of them, the foliage is quite remarkable. As to fruit, jsut bought the tree and can't imagine what the fruit would look like, since I posted my query, have bought a second tree, no more to be found.

Hope that you can help....?

And a happy new year to you also.
