I am new to the culture of indoor citrus plants. I have a Meyer lemon tree that is in a 6" pot. I have had it for about 5 months and it has already bloomed. As the blooms faded, I saw several lemons beginning to form. When the weather became warm enough, ( I live in zone 5 ) I placed the plant outdoors in a sunny location. As the lemons began to grow, all of them but 3 fell off. Now, I see that only one lemon is continuing to grow and the other 2 are just yellowing on the stem and not growing. Is this a natural progression of its development? Can this young and small "tree" only support one lemon at this age and for its first fruit production?
