 Hello there,
It is my first post here, so I'll try to be clear :-P
I'm most interested in growing phormiums to protect my future palms (I'll send a separate post on that topic).
Wind is an issue in my garden, but frost as well. I think we easily reach the low twenties every winter (not much less, though)
Are colored phormiums as cold hardy as green phormiums? I would be interested in growing variegated hedges, but only if it proves as cold hady as pure green phormiums.

 Hi Greg,

I think the frost hardiness of variegated Phormium tenax is quite close to the one of the "true" pure green species. As you said in another topic that winter temperatures do not hit bellow 20°F in your garden, I wouldn't bother about that ;-)
