Would you have some good suggestion for a list of tropical looking plants that could survive my USDA zone 7 winters? In my areas, winters are relatively dry.
I already have a very small list of palms, but i'd like to broaden the choice.
Regards, Erik.

 Hello Erik,
Ouch, I'm not very knowledgable about zone 7.
- But I've read that a few Passion flowers could withstand z7 winters.
- I've been suggested Loquat for my garden, and I think it has (marginal) hardiness down to zone 7. Depends whether you're in zone 7a or 7b, I guess.
- Did you think of Asimina triloba? This is a US native tree, from what I've read, that is a tropical looking tree in summer, and that can easily survive zone 7 winters
- ... That's all for the moment :-P

 Hello Erik and Rajesh,

My few suggestions :

- some yuccas can withstand zone 7 winters, I think.
- what about bamboos? They are frost-hardy species.
- catalpa and pawlonia trees (decidious, but huge leaves in the growing season!)
- hardy hibiscus (Althea syriacus or Hibiscus syriacus)

I certainly forgot many :-P
Regards
Kacey
